  • Training Delivery Experience

As a member of the delivery team, I have various responsibilities during the process of getting a project live from creating employee performance support content, to writing documentation, to testing processes, etc. While producing these individual pieces that fit into a larger Go-Live puzzle is important, they will all fall short of creating successful, confident users if we’re not also attentive to individual learner needs and experience. So why is attention to individual learner needs crucial, and what types of needs might be most important? The insights I’ll share below do not necessarily reflect the importance of our knowledge of the software or technical capabilities that come with our Go-Live…

  • Training Project Life-Cycle

I made this infographic to help demonstrate the entire life-cycle of a training project. This phased approach to a training project accounts for each stage of an implementation. This graphic starts with the assumption of an assessment of current content and capabilities where a training strategy would then be scoped to fit organizational culture and budget.

  • Online Learning Navigation Sample

I created this graphic to show users that were brand new and experienced alike how to navigate their way to successful learning. With each stop along the way, users have a chance to develop new skills, reinforce understanding, and stay up-to-date on the latest features and releases. New users could begin by taking a Getting Started course and proceed to learn what they need to by their role with customized learning paths, progress tracking, and quizzes to test their comprehension. The experienced user may want to cross train or learn an entirely new skill. They can begin a new module, track their progress, take the quiz, and show off their…

  • LMS Design and Administration

I have experience working with customers to analyze the scope of training they need, such as what types of content they would like to create, and what training materials they already have and in what mediums. Following corporate standards and design, I’ve worked to then create learner-centric courses with micro-learning and a variety of formats for training to reach all users. I also have experience supporting an online university platform, including onboarding course creation that included videos and Quick Reference Cards, onboarding webinars and guided learning tours. Support of online learners also included administration of live learn sessions, a monthly newsletter and blogs announcing new content and learning opportunities.

  • Blog – The Impact of AI on Training

Last week I had the pleasure of attending an event at INDUSTRY in Denver, Colorado called, “Building a Trust-Based AI Ecosystem.” This event brought together AI innovators to explore questions related to artificial intelligence and the ways AI is reshaping our world. There were a number of interesting speakers and participants, and subjects included working with robots to better and more safely sort recycling, AI in hospital settings to alert staff as quickly as possible of patients developing sepsis, and AI that would alert NASA if astronauts headed to Mars were in psychological distress. Though perhaps not as exciting as successfully completing a mission to Mars, I couldn’t help but…
